So I am going to be participating in a 30 day prayer challenge with one of my besties, Christina. I think I'm going to document my progress via my blog because it will be easier for Chris to see that I am actually doing it! Lol and I'm always using different computers so I thought this would be a good way to keep my entries in one place without having to use a junk drive and all that ish.

Shampooed with Aphogee Shampoo for Damaged Hair
Aphogee 2 min Reconstructor
Silk Elements & Honey as DC
OMG, I DC'd on Sat with the Silk Elements and honey and my air is super moisturized right now. Even the Aphogee could not put a dent in my moisture. Usually, the Aphogee shampoo will completely leave my hair dry and just UGH! That honey on Saturday but an end to that for real!
Mini-Haul today:
1. Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Leave-In
2. Nexxus Humectress Luxe Ultimate Moisturizing Leave In
3. V05 Moisture Milks - Strawberries & Cream Moisturizing Conditioner
4. Silk Elements Moisturizing Treatments
I'm trying to see if my new growth can be tamed with these products. I hear wigs anyway, but when I moisturize and seal, it can get pretty annoying. So we'll see how this works. Ok, I'm off to sit under the hooded dryer, for like 15-20 min since that honey treatment last Saturday worked wonders!
Although, there was some breakage in the bathtub when I washed today. I need to research and try to figure out what my hair is telling me.

Ok, its Saturday night at 10:18 pm and I'm doing my hair. :-( I'm so tired. I realized that my last entry was long and jumbled so I'm going to try to make sure my entries are a little better. I mean the point of this is for me to keep track of what I'm doing and my progress, so yeah. I'm gonna try to do this a little better.
I did co-wash among other things since my last post but I did not write it down and I completely forgot. So I decided I'll just post what I did while I'm sitting under the dryer.
Saturday is my shampoo day but I'm so tired I didn't do it and this is what I did instead.
DC with Silk Elements and honey mixed in under the hooded dryer.
My hair was feeling really dry and the new growth was getting a little out of hand so I wanted to try the honey mixed in with the Silk Elements. I lovvvve the Silk Elements alone so we'll see how this works out.
Ok I just finished deep conditioning and its feeling really, really nice right now. I am 8 weeks post and my hair is ear length so the new growth is definitely a big deal right now, but this DC really worked for me! I will definitely keep honey in my regi. :-) But I need to figure something out for the new growth when I air dry, cause I'm not feeling it.

Diary
Ok so todya is Monday 9-28-09 and I washed and deep conditioned today. I really liked the results. I started my new "hair regimen" last Monday and I was definitely getting a little skeptical. On Thursday I gave my hair a protein treatment using the Aphogee shampoo for damaged hair and the 2 min Reconstructor and my hair came out so NOT soft. It was hard and just ewwwwey all around. I know after a protein treatment you're supposed to do a moisturizing conditioner so I wasn't thrown off at first but ofter I deep conditioned with the Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Conditioner (HE L/T C) with Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) added to it, I thought it would have come out soooo nice. It didn't. :-(
So I thought to use my sisters Lustre Silk Shea Butter Cholesterol with the EVOO added to it and it still didnt come out how I wanted it to. Even after I used the S-Curl Activator as a leave in it really didn't give me any results that I was crazy over.
Today I washed with Carol Daughter (CD) shampoo, something with Rosemary in the name I think. I'm under the hooded dryer, deep conditioning so I'm not sure what it is, but i do know it was a CD product. Before I shampooed I prepooed with the HE L/T C with te EVOO added to it and baggyed. I left that on for about an hour while I was doing some chores and sagt under the dryer for about 5 min and there was very little breakage and shedding! Which I loved. I'm now deep conditioning with Silk Elements Moisturizing treatment, which I will now use as my DC. HE L/T C can be used for prepooing only because it doesnt seem to be conditioning enough for my hair.
I've been under the dryer for about 20 minutes and will wash it out, add the leave in, blow dry. (I'll explain why I blow dry when I post my regimen) moisturize and seal, and apply Jamaican Black Castor Oil to my scalp.
I'm hot and have to go finish the laundry so I'll update next week or next month. I'm not too sure about how often I will be posting here.

An intro....I guess....
Ok so I've decided to try and grow my hair. I cut my hair from a little under shoulder length to scalp length (aka extra extra short) in November 2007. Now I want to grow it back. :-)
I mena, I do love my short hair. I think it looks nice on me but I just want to see if I will be able to grow it. Its kind of like a challenge to me. I've been looking at youtube videos and checking out some websites online and I've see how there are girls out there who really took care of their hair and it really grew. So I'm kind of challenging myself to see if I can do it too.
So this is the whole point of this blog, to document going from ear length to shoulder length. I don't expect any followers or anything but I thought I should at least but some sort of effort in this blog, so it doesn't end out being a COMPLETE hot mess. Lol.
